Off Duty Security Guard Hits Jogger in Orange County

According to reports an accident occurred in Orange County early Sunday morning. At approximately 6 am a jogger was struck by a vehicle driven by an off duty security officer in the Lake Forest area.

In a statement from spokesman Jim Anormino of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department the accident occurred in Lake Forrest, which is approximately 50 miles, southeast of Los Angeles and the security guard swerved into the jogging lane where he struck the woman jogger.

The woman who was struck has not been identified, she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

At the time of the accident reports are unclear if the security guard was on his way to work or on his way home and there has not been a decision if there will be charges filed against him.
