A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday in a fatal collision involving a car in the Ocean Beach area.

On September 9, 2022, a 33-year-old motorcyclist was heading down an intersection in San Diego’s Ocean Beach neighborhood when he crashed into another vehicle. The collision occurred where Sunset Cliffs Boulevard intersects with Nimitz Boulevard.
When the police arrived at the accident scene, they reported the 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed while the driver in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision happened at 5:42 PM when the motorcyclist sped down the intersection, running a red light before getting struck by the vehicle.

California Highway Patrol shut down the west lanes of the Freeway. It continued with their investigations, revealing that the man in the blue Subaru could be drunk or high and driven the wrong way before smashing into the gold Toyota car.
Police booked the 24-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs into jail.
On August 19, 2022, at around 2:00 AM, a motorcycle broadsided a car resulting in a downtown San Diego crash at 1st Avenue and Ash Street. San Diego police department dispatched their units to the scene of the accident. When police officers arrived, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead, while the 38-year-old driver in the Toyota Prius suffered minor injuries.
Medics arrived at the accident scene and transported the driver to a local hospital for treatment of his minor injuries. Investigations revealed that the motorcycle rider on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was going at high speed and did not stop at the intersection. The motorcycle hit the car resulting in a fatal crash in San Diego.
